From: FSPC Office of the Chief Commander
Day 23, Month 9, Year 2087 VC (Valyance Calendar)

Hailing all interested parties!

Sixty years ago, a rush of would-be colonist ships and space adventurers from Valyance was lured to venture through Sector V42-Omega. They all had hopes of reaching the systems beyond where a few early probes had detected several habitable planets rich in resources. But none of these pioneers ever reached their destinations; all were caught by the dangers of navigating a poorly charted asteroid belt. Their many ships still remain, scattered among the asteroids and the surrounding sector. Because of its remote location, salvage operations in the sector have remained prohibited by Valyancian governments? ?until now. Now, the Billundian FSPC has determined one of the lost ships was carrying valuable scientific data, and we are giving licenses to salvage in the sector to anyone who can locate the lost vessel, the FSPC Garnet, and secure it in the name of Billundia.

The Grave Belt, as it is known, takes up part of space that separates Valyancian Sectors from the other civilized regions of the galaxy, making this task within reach of otherworld starships. Any interested parties should steer to Sector Delta 6,4 and upon arrival contact the Sector Mediator to be briefed by the FSPC authorities.
