Origins of the Pack

According to legend, the seven most elite thieves in Darknia Castle District, each a specialist in his or her field, met for the first time in 1989 VC (Valyancian Calendar). After a bizarre set of coincidences brought them together, they formed a league based on a simple objective: Use their unique skills to define, promote, and protect the Darknian Code of Honour. Once joined, they took on new aliases and were henceforth known as the Wolfpack.

The Original Wolfpack 1989 (by rank):
Count Gwyth, "The Craftiest Con-Artist Around"
Count Hector, "The Most Cunning Spy in the Land"
The Iron Claw, "The World's Deadliest Assassin"
Baron Cruel, "The Most Dreaded of all Highwaymen"
Duke Halifax, "The Sneakiest Cat Burglar Ever"
Marshal Lynx, "The Greatest Acrobat Thief of Her Generation"
Marshal Racson, "The Best Pick-Pocket of all Time"

Within a year, the Wolfpack had become a force to be reckoned with, capable of pressuring even the Boldtarian Dynasty to do their bidding. Their power reached beyond the borders of Darknia, and soon no one on Valyance could risk dishonourable behavior without risking punishment at their hands.

When the mighty Vathan Boldt had become dishonourable in his methods of employing space technology to kill and conquer during the Lunar War, it was the Wolfpack who changed the course of the war. They suggested that Uchenna, Vathan's sister and Black Monarch of Darknia, should condemn Vathan publicly and sever all ties between the Castle District and Vathan's regime of space warriors. The Monarch, knowing the power of the Pack, wasted no time capitulating, establishing a tradition that all her heirs would forever be bound to the odd band of honourable thieves.

The Pack at the Time of Starship

100 years after the original members formed the powerful thief's gang, the influence of the Wolfpack continues to dominate Darknian politics, and hence the history of Valyance. Several generations of elite bandits have passed the torch, and now the Pack includes over fifty associates, still led by seven "alpha" members. Among the lower ranks are several "pups" who are in training to one day take the place of one of the seven current leaders.

The Current Wolfpack 2089 (by rank):
Count Royce, "The System's Fastest Hacker"
Countess Bionda, "The Most Explosive Saboteur Anywhere"
Baron Fierce, "The Quadrant's Toughest Extortionist"
Lady Devaki, "The Cleverest Explorer of Her Time"
Sir Gunther, "The Cleanest Hit Man in the Sector"
Lord Darron, "The Most Captivating Abductor Around"
Marshal Kesava, "The Stealthiest Identity Thief of All"

As the technological restrictions of the Treaty of Kozera have weakened over the past century, the Wolfpack has had no choice but to expand their endeavors into the new political arena of deep space. They have commissioned a unique spaceship, the Castle's Revenge to hunt down the dishonourable wherever in the galaxy they might hide. Also used by the new Wolfpack are several smaller craft, including the Redtail.
