How to Play on Myrna
(via E-Mail)
Okay, so a friend invited you to play this game, but you're not sure how. Here's the scoop in five easy steps . . .
1. The Myrna Campaign is an Advanced Dungeons and Dragons game with adventures created by and hosted (Game Mastered) by Cutter. If you have any questions about what an AD&D game is or what role-playing is, contact Cutter (e-mail below).
2. Once you understand how to role-play in a fantasy world, you must create a character to play. Again, to do this, you must contact Cutter. Of course, if you've gotten this far, chances are Cutter has already approached you on this subject.
3. Wait for an e-mail message from Cutter. Every so often, he will review players' responses to a previous episode and then spend time writing a new installment to explain what the characters are experiencing. The major episodes will almost always say "Chronicles of Myrna, Chapter such-in-such..." in the subject line of the e-mail.
4. Read the e-mail and respond however you like --but preferably in character. You may reply only to Cutter if you want your character's actions or thoughts to be private, you may reply only to certain players to share quiet conversation between just a few characters, or you may reply-to-all players to have your character do or say something to all who are present. You will soon see other players doing the same. In any case, you should usually at least cc: Cutter so that our GM knows what is going on.
5. If you need to reference information that is known to the party, you can always return to this site's home page to review a variety of topics.
